While we are not a "fishing" resort, there are lots
of opportunities to fish, for kids of all ages. But, if you're looking for serious fishing and boating, then we really aren't the place for you.
We practice Catch & Release only on Richard Lake.
Lots of perch, and the kids can catch them right off the dock. Not too big, tho....
There are big Trophy Northern's on the south side of Richard Lake (which you can keep) and other lakes. We do strongly support and encourage Catch & Release fishing. Take a picture. But sometimes, eating the fish is good too!
Richard Lake (south side) had Smallmouth Bass, Northern Pike, Walleye & Lake Trout - and if you're really patient, Suckers and the odd Ling Cod.
Back to grow bigger.
Some folks bring the oddest of water-craft for fishing.
For a real adventure - there is a trail that goes from a dock that you paddle to (or hike a really rough trail from the camp) and then hike into another lake, where you will probably be the only ones on Bruin Lake.
The trail is marked, but look out for moose poop!
